Sensei Sasaki was born and raised in Stockton, California.  He studied Buddhism at Tokyo University then, in 1958, was ordained as a Jodo Shinshu minister in Kyoto.  

He has served as a minister in Stockton and Mountain View.   Since 1990 he has been the resident minister of the Buddhist Church of San Francisco.

Sensei Sasaki is a very appropriate guest speaker for our 50th Anniversary Celebration, being the grandson of Sensei Senju Sasaki, the first Jodo Shinshu minister in Canada.
