Re: Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temples of Canada Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta is pleased to be hosting the 2009 Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temples of Canada Annual General Meeting on April 24-26, 2009.
At the same time, BTSA is planning the official dedication of its new temple to coincide with the 2009 AGM and expects a number of former southern Alberta residents interested in joining the weekend celebration. To help us coordinate plans, BTSA would appreciate your attention to the enclosed/attached registration form.
Blocks of rooms have been reserved at two local motels, one of which is within walking distance of the new temple. Please make your reservations directly with either the nearby Quality Inn where rooms have been tentatively booked for ministers, or the Best Western Heidelberg Inn.
Please feel free to distribute copies of the registration form to all delegates and members who will be attending. There are no local costs associated with the weekend, but donations will be gratefully accepted and appreciated. We look forward to your arrival.
In Gassho,
David Major President Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta

BCC AGM - 2007
On April 26-29, 2007, the Calgary Buddhist Temple hosted the Annual General Meeting of the Buddhist Churches of Canada (BCC) and the Buddhist Churches of Canada Women's Federation (BCCWF). At these meetings, representatives from Jodo Shinshu Buddhist temples from across Canada came to plan and organize, at the national level, the activities for the coming year.
The Calgary Buddhist Temple would like to thank our guest speaker, Andrew Brash, all the major donors and volunteers who helped make this year's meeting so successful.

"Improving Accessibility to Jodo Shinshu Buddhism" presentation given by Ray Nakano on the Friday night of the AGM weekend. There was a lot of information shared that weekend with all of the workshops, presentations, and the meetings themselves. Hope some of it helps keep your Sangha strong.
