2009 Alberta Buddhist Conference

The 31st annual Alberta Buddhist Conference (ABC) will be held at the new Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta in Lethbridge, AB on Nov 13, 14 and 15, 2009.  Main speaker will be Rev Ken Yamada, the resident minister of the Berkeley, California Higashi Hongwanji Temple.  This year's theme, "Dharma Energy - Tranquility" (translated as Yasuragi in Japanese), attempts to capture the renewed strength embodied in a new building and sangha to emphasize Buddhist serenity, peace and gratitude. The conference is open to the public.  All events will be held at the new temple, 470 – 4th Av. S. Lethbridge, Alberta  Canada
