Highlights of trip to Japan - Our Calgary Temple is part of the Jodo Shinshu Buddhist tradition centred at Hongwanji in Kyoto. In Oct '09, our Sensei James traveled with several Sangha members to Japan in order to meet Jodo Shinshu practitioners from different parts of the world and to learn of our tradition's history and current practices.

The video link below shows some picture highlights of that trip. There are also links to other Jodo Shinshu videos featuring talks by the Gomonshu - the leader of our tradition - and to other ceremonies at Hongwanji. Enjoy!
